Momul Tree Planting Commemorating World Environment Day 2022

KTDA Foundation in partnership with GIZ, the Rainforest Alliance and Momul Tea Factory led smallholder tea farmers in the area to plant 3,000 seedlings as part of a series of events to mark the #WorldEnvironmentDay on 14th June 2022.
The event was held at the Kuche River wetland area, an important source of water for the local community. The farmers were also sensitised on the need to continuously protect the environmental ecosystem from which they derive their livelihoods, for a more sustainable tea industry.
