In partnership with Ahmad Tea and Kambaa Tea Factory, the KTDA Foundation officially handed over the Kambaa Sanitation Project to Kagaa Mixed Secondary School on September 18, 2025. The initiative, aptly themed “Brewing a Healthier Future,” was celebrated in a ceremony led by KTDA Foundation General Manager Sudi Matara and Vincent Mwingirwa, who is the General Manager, Sales and Marketing. This event highlighted a shared commitment to improving education, health, and community well-being by providing students with a safe, clean, and dignified learning environment. The day’s activities began with an initial visit to the Kambaa Tea Factory before progressing to the main handover ceremony at the school.
The project’s success was a collaborative effort, with key partners in attendance to witness the impact firsthand. The Ahmad Tea team, including Dr. Ebraham Afshar, Shayan Hamidian and Saleh Afshar, joined the ceremony alongside Riyaz Fazel from Abba Traders. Their presence underscored the profound dedication to creating lasting positive change and fostering a healthier future for the community through such impactful partnerships. This specific project has directly benefited 125 students and 9 staff members at Kagaa Mixed Secondary School, providing them with improved sanitation facilities.
This success story is a testament to the core principles that guide the KTDA Foundation. Its work is grounded in several key pillars aimed at uplifting farming communities and promoting sustainable development. This sanitation project, in particular, speaks directly to one of these pillars: enhancing community well-being through strategic interventions that address fundamental needs like health and hygiene. By focusing on essential infrastructure, the Foundation is building a stronger, more resilient future for the youth in these areas.
The partnership between the KTDA Foundation, Ahmad Tea, and Kambaa Tea Factory serves as a powerful model for corporate social responsibility. It demonstrates how a shared vision and a commitment to action can translate into tangible benefits for the community. The positive ripple effect of this project will extend beyond the school, fostering a healthier environment for years to come.
