Gitugi Tea Factory Community Library Renovated and Restocked

The Foundation on Saturday 1st April presided over the launch of library facilities worth Kshs 1.4 million at the Gitugi Tea Factory Community Library, donated to the library by Sainsbury’s. The facilities consisted of 3,144 CBC textbooks, CCVT cameras and facilitation for librarian services.

The donation will improve the literacy and education levels in the area, which is one of the objectives of the education pillar of the Foundation. The library was built and equipped by the Foundation in 2016.

Sainsbury’s is a buyer of KTDA teas from the United Kingdom and collaborates with the Foundation to roll out sustainability projects in tea-growing areas.
