Apiculture Project

The project aims at implementing a biodiversity conservation and livelihood improvement project in the Rukuriri Factory Tea catchment.

The goal under this project was to encourage beekeeping activities in Rukuriri catchment to act an as a useful source of supplementary income.

Impact and Progress

  • The received 100 bee hives for sustainable apiculture.
  • The project supported 100 smallholder tea farmers get training in the practice of beekeeping as a means of providing additional income.
