16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

The Kenya Tea Development Agency GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) committee stands with women globally to support the fight against gender-based violence. The committee will this year participate in the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10th December, Human Rights Day.
This year’s theme is “UNiTE! Activism to end violence against women and girls”.
The hand symbol represents a stop sign, a call for action to end all forms of GBV:- physical, verbal, psychological, sexual and socio-economic violence.
As an organization, we value the role women play in the tea value chain, our participation this year aims to create awareness of the harmful effects of gender-based violence and to call upon all stakeholders to support the cause. #16DaysofActivism #SayNoToGBV #StopGBV
