3-Day Medical Camp at Kaptumo Tea Factory Catchment

KTDA Foundation in partnership with Kaptumo Tea Factory and Ministry of Health Aldai Sub-County held a medical camp from the 29th of June to the 1st of July 2022 at Kobujoi Forest Dispensary benefitting 771 people.
The medical camp offered blood pressure monitoring, BMI calculation and nutrition advice, HIV testing, malaria testing, prostate and cervical cancer screening and blood sugar monitoring. This is in line with the Foundation’s health pillar goal, to promote access to primary health care and medical services to the tea-growing community members.
A 2-day CHV (Community Health Volunteer) training was also held at the dispensary to strengthen the knowledge of Non-Communicable diseases and CHV standard operating procedures.
