KTDA Foundation in collaboration with Rainforest Alliance conducted a Capacity building training workshop on Climate Change & Renewable Energy for KTDA Field staff based in the East of Rift on 15th – 18th March 2022 at Sunshine Hotel, Kericho.
The training aimed to build the capacity of KTDA Field extension staff in providing climate change adaptation training to smallholder tea farmers and their communities within their catchments. A total of 142 field staff were trained on the following:
The overall aim is to improve their knowledge on climate change and adaptation, as well as prepare them to effectively communicate climate change information to farmers who are extremely vulnerable to climate change. The Foundation will also be conducting similar training in the East of Rift this week at Izaak Walton Hotel, Embu.
