Computer donations to schools

Benne Tea in partnership with the Tea Board of Kenya through the KTDA Foundation has donated twenty-five computers to five schools in the West of Rift region this week.

The beneficiary schools are Namgoi Secondary School (Nandi), Nyaboterere Mixed Day Sec School (Kisii), Nyameru day Secondary School (Nyamira), Singoronik Secondary School (Kericho) and Ambusket Secondary School (Nakuru), within Chebut, Nyamache, Gianchore, Momul and Olenguruone tea factory catchment areas respectively.

This is a major boost to the Robotics and Coding:- Enhancing Digital Literacy for Lifelong Learning in Tea Communities project, which kicked off in July 2021 in Nakuru.

The main aim of the programme is to improve the learning outcomes of 240 students across 12 schools in tea growing zones through Robotics and Coding project.
