KTDA Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Kericho County is conducting a training exercise for 75 Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) in Tegat, Kapkatet, Toror and Tebesonik Tea Factories.
The training, which started on Monday 21st June and ends on 25th June 2021, will help create demand for safe and nutritious foods through Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) interventions amongst smallholder tea farmers.
In partnership with Ethical Tea Partnership, GAIN and the Foundation, the TEAFAM project aims at improving diets among smallholder farmers in Kenya. It will be implemented directly amongst approximately 26,000 smallholder farming families and indirectly to over 104,000 people in the four KTDA factories in Kericho County.
