Kiamokama Tea Factory 3-Day Medical Camp

KTDA Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health for Kisii County Government and Kiamokama Tea Factory will be carrying out a free 3-day medical camp at Kiamokama Health Centre, situated in Kiamokama Tea Factory catchment area which started today and will run till 7th May 2021. The camp was launched by the Head of Foundation, Mr Sudi Matara and Region 6 Regional Operations Manager, Thomas Nyagetari. This was preceded by the training of 10 Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) who will be part of mobilizing and sensitizing farmers on health-related issues.

During the camp, community members within the factory catchment will receive screening services for Breast, Cervical and Prostate cancers, blood sugar and pressure screening, general treatment among other services.

KTDA Tea Factories through KTDA Foundation have so far supported over 38 medical camps with 40,000 receiving treatment and referral services and over 1 million reached with nutrition messages for the last three years.
