Mairi Dispensary Handover
In a colourful ceremony today, KTDA Foundation and Ethical Tea Partnership handed over Mairi Health Facility in Murang’a County after renovating it and purchasing healthcare equipment. The main aim of the project is to provide accessible maternity and other health services to community members within the Makomboki Tea Factory catchment.
KTDA Foundation, KTDA MS, Ethical Tea Partnership, Makomboki Tea Factory and County Government of Muranga through the Health Department embarked on the project to complete construction and renovate the dispensary as well as equip it to offer maternity, youth-friendly, counselling, family planning and nutrition services. These renovations and equipment have created a conducive environment for various meetings and the provision of services. These repairs have ensured that the dispensary can provide quality health services to the community especially women and youth further aimed at enhancing morale among health workers due to the improved working environment.
The Mairi Dispensary is located in the Makomboki Tea Catchment area in Kigumo Sub-County in Muranga County. The renovation works consisted of fittings, roofing, painting, plumbing, tiling, plumbing, doors, water tanks and electrical works.
