TEAFAM Project Launch in Kericho

The KTDA Foundation, GAIN Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and the Ethical Tea Partnership on 3rd March 2021, unveiled a programme aimed at improving diets among smallholder tea farmers, and their families, in Kericho County. This is critical in combating and managing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) prevalent among tea farmers.

The nutritional improvement programme aims at equipping farmers from the catchments of Kapkatet, Tebesonik, Toror and Tegat factories with knowledge and practical skills on diet improvement. Poor diet has been classified as high-risk factors for NCDs.
