Teaching the Next Generation of Environmental Champs!

 

Mr Jasper M’Raiji, FSC Kionyo, demonstrates to pupils of Ngongo Primary School how to plant a tree seedling during a recent tree planting exercise conducted at Imenti and Kionyo Tea Factory catchment areas. The tree planting exercise saw close to 10,000 trees planted in 6 schools with 1,200 fruit trees and 8,800 indigenous and exotic trees. The Carbon Neutral project which is a partnership between KTDA Foundation and Taylors of Harrogate aims at planting 500,000 trees in 4 KTDA tea factory catchment areas.
