A tree planting exercise organized by Theta Tea Factory in conjunction with KTDA Foundation, 16 July 2018


Pupils from Kiamugo Primary School in Gatundu South Constituency plant trees in their school compound during a tree planting exercise organized by Theta Tea Factory in conjunction with KTDA Foundation on July 16th, 2018. Alongside Karangi Primary School, the school also received an 8,000- litre water tank from Taylors of Harrogate and Ringtons. The event was aimed at conserving the environment under the Greening Kenya initiative.

KTDA Foundation through its partners, Taylors of Harrogate and Ringtons, has donated 56 8000l water tanks to 56 schools across the KTDA tea growing zones. The project aims at improving proper sanitation practices in schools and water conservation by harvesting rain water and teaching the students on proper hygiene practices like washing their hands after toilet visits.

The Foundation so far has donated 122 water tanks to various institutions including a children’s home through its various partners.
